  • Arctic Adventure Book Fair- Take a trip to the Arctic, but don't forget to brrrrrring money! The Arctic Adventure Book Fair is here at the Sayreville Middle School from Decemberrrr 9th thru Decemberrrr 13th. We have great books and goodies for sale. There is something for everyone. Make a purchase and you get a chance at our raffle. It will be an Arctic Adventure. Come by during lunches and check us out because reading is snoooow much fun. Have an ice day!
  • Flannel Friday- In the holiday spirit, Flannel Friday will take place this Friday, December 13, 2019. To participate, all you have to do is wear your favorite flannel shirt/apparel/accessories. Dress code appropriate - No Flannel Pajamas.
  • Newspaper Club- There will be a Newspaper Club meeting today, Tuesday, December 10, after school until 3:30 in the Library.
  • Baseball- Attention 7th and 8th grade students interested in trying out for baseball - There will be a brief meeting during your lunch periods on Tuesday, December 17th outside of the cafeteria. Any questions please see Coach Zolla.
  • Spirit Club- The Spirit Club will be meeting next week, Tuesday and Wednesday, December 17th and December 18th after school in the Media Center. Any questions please see Ms. Hoadley in room E519.

Not only will Scholastic match any money we collect and give it to other less fortunate schools around the country, the homeroom that collects the most money will receive a MAKE YOUR OWN SUNDAE PARTY! The boxes will be collected on Thursday, December 12 after homeroom, so start thinking about what kind of toppings you want!   Good Luck!
  • Holiday/Winter Door Decorating Contest- For the month of December, we will be doing a door decorating contest consisting of holiday/winter themes with the students. Students must partake in the decorating. Glass portion of windows should not be covered. Decorating cannot take place during instructional time - only during homeroom and lunch periods. Awards: 1. Best Theme  (Warm Holiday Theme) 2. Best Door Appeal 3. D.I.Y. Doors should be completed by end of day, Wednesday, December 18th. Ballots will be in homeroom teacher's mailboxes on the morning of Thursday, December 19th. Please have students vote during homeroom Thursday, December 19th.   • Thank you to all staff and students who contributed to the Fall Food Drive. The Sayreville Middle School collected over 400 food items to donate to local food pantries.
The homerooms with the most collections were:

8th Grade - Mrs. Stravalacci
The overall top collector was Mr. Opdyke's homeroom with 70 food items!
