Mrs. Matzer’s Technology Class Often when students are done early with an assignment they are allowed to use some of the other options and software available in class. This marking period we decided to challenge ourselves with a project using auto shapes, color fill, and small amounts of clip art. Some projects were created solely in Paint, a graphics application. The students then voted on Best in Class. It was a tough decision. I even added a few pictures I couldn’t resist. We hope you enjoy our selections! tec Students at Sayreville Middle School recently raised $4,259.66 for St Jude Children’s Research Hospital by participating in a Math-A-Thon. The boys and girls solicited pledges from donors and received donations based on the number of math problems correctly completed. The event was coordinated by teachers Miss Kimberly Jaremczak and Miss Ashley Conners. The Math-A-Thon, part of the school’s Character Education Program, has been held at Sayreville Middle School since 2003 and has raised a total of $15, 628.55 for St. Jude’s.
Students in Mrs. Mazur’s sixth grade classes at Sayreville Middle school recently took part in a program to support our troops. The boys and girls donated personal care items and assembled them into care packages. Called “A Little Piece of Home” the program , sponsored by the Zarro Funeral Home in Bloomfield, NJ, sends the packages to military personnel overseas.
